  • USER TASK FLOWS
Conceptual Model Meets the User Model

Task flows are a tool to help think through a design before features are actually developed. They produce the opportunity to interject the user into the flow of the application and determine if the conceptual model agrees with the user model.
  • SITE/APP MAPS
    Organized Hierarchy

A site map or app map is a list of pages of a web site or application accessible to search-engine crawlers or users. It can be either a document used as a planning tool for web design, or a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. Below are several examples of site and/or app maps.

  • WIREFRAMES / PROTOTYPES
    The Design Skeleton
  • A website wireframe, also known as a page schematic or screen blueprint, is a visual guide that represents the skeletal framework of a website. The wireframe depicts the page layout or arrangement of the website or application's content, including interface elements and navigational systems, and how they work together.
  • This prototype mockup was created to streamline the Kareo sign-up process. See the live prototype.
  • PERSONAS
First Things First: Who's This For

Fictional characters created to represent the different user types within a targeted demographic, attitude and/or behavior set. Each persona represents a group or type of user with varying degrees of expectations, motivations and goals.
